Randy Voler, the inimitable mayor of Pittsboro, introduced our lead-off speaker, C. Payne Lucas, Director of Party Affairs and Development for the North Carolina Democratic Party. C. Payne spoke eloquently and issued a rousing call to arms of the Democratic faithful reminding us just how hard the 2010 races will be to keep North Carolina blue.

Given the substance of their speeches and the energy they brought to the Breakfast, this will prove an interesting and exciting primary season! This was the first time this season that all three likely candidates appeared together on the same platform, quite an honor for Chatham County.

We hope to see all three back in the County in the coming months!
